packing light

this is a large (75!) collection of toy camera photos i took in cambodia over the past couple of years. you can buy matted prints of photos in this collection at the following locations around cambodia -Art Deli (siem reap), Make Maek (battambang), Kinyei (battambang).

each image is titled simply with a number. i call the entire collection cam[era]bodia because (here’s the [era] part) shooting with toy cameras sometimes helps me blur the timeline and produce images of ambiguous chronological origin; and sometimes i’m able to capture images that are just ‘right-here-right-now-and-never-again’. the other reason is the obvious play on words combination.

the prints are small – 4×6 or 4×4 with an off-white matte. nothing too fancy. the point of this collection is to give my photos physical form and send them out into the world. i hope they end up taped into journals, magnet-ed to refrigerators, hung on walls of living rooms and back alleys; anywhere they can bring their own quirky beauty to a place that needs it.

eventually, some numbers will become ‘endangered’ and eventually ‘extinct’ as i’ll stop making new prints of them. i may add new locations where they can be purchased and i may also find a way to produce and sell them internationally. all future developments with the cam[era]bodia collection will be posted here.
