this is a laser jet image transfer i recently did with one of my photos. it's on a 90x90cm (big) canvas which i covered with newspaper clippings and some plastic sack material. this piece is one of 12 laser jet transfers i have on exhibition at art deli in siem reap. this was the first time i'd tried any transfers and the materials people usually use for the process (mod podge, gel medium etc) aren't available here, so i experimented for like a month and a half until i found a way to make it work with some varnishes and other chemicals. i ended up using wood, canvas, glass mirrors and feed sack materials as background surfaces. i really liked the variety of textures. i also like how the contrasty images from my toy and classic film cameras really lend themselves to this process. anyhow, this piece is a photo i took of my neighborhood in phnom penh with my olympus om-2. if you want to see all the pieces in this exhibition they're on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150960688990375.759672.778185374&type=1&l=d550834f8c or of course you can go to art deli and see them yourself.

This is just absolutely stunning, as are the photographs on facebook. You are so, so talented with what you do and I’m so glad you have an exhibition to show your work off! Keep up the good work Tim! x
